Meet the CEO!

DeShonda Monique Jennings is a proud wife, mother, grandma, and author. She is a firm believer of “It Takes a Village” when it comes to our youth. DeShonda is a former Girl Scout Troop Leader. She has been a member of Girl Scouts for over 24 years. DeShonda is a member of VA PTA/PTSA. DeShonda is the epitome of what a strong wife, mother, daughter, grandmother and woman of faith is.

Education

DeShonda has a Bachelor’s in Accounting with a Minor in Business Management.

After giving birth to her second daughter, she re-enrolled in college and obtained an Associate Degree in Early Childhood Development.

She is currently furthering her education in Early Childhood and Teacher Education.

Experience

DeShonda owns and operates a successful home daycare in Chesterfield County.

She currently serves as an advocate and mentor for children as well as a mentor to women who wish to start a home daycare business. She has actively served as a parent advocate for over 21 years.

We have two sides to this program....

The first allows scholarships for those who needs some assistance with start-up fees.

The second allows those who are able to support this movement by becoming a sponsor.

We are a 501c3, so your donation is a tax benefit, your name will be listed on the nonprofit website as a sponsor and mentioned at the event, your sponsorship helps to increase the number of events as well as the overall experience for each event for our youth, as well as help to offset cost in aspiring childcare providers.
